This section reviews how to get started using Foretell.

Launching Foretell
  1. Hover your pointer over the ‘Apps’ icon resembling a keypad on the lower right of the navigation bar and select it using the Trigger Button using either controller.

  2. Then position the pointer over the Foretell Reality Group app icon and use the Trigger button to launch the app.

  • Please note the first time you install the application you must Allow Permission to recording audio and media storage in order to provide access to the microphone.

Signing In
  1. Once the application opens, you will be asked to enter a client code, username and password. These credentials will be provided to you in advance.

  2. Use the Trigger Button to select from the keyboard and enter your credentials.

  3. To use the virtual keyboard, hover your pointer over individual letters and then press the right or left hand Trigger Button.

  4. Once you have entered your user credentials, hover over the ‘Login’ button with your pointer and press the select it using the Trigger Button.

Customizing your avatar
  1. After successfully logging in you will be brought to the Lobby where you should see an avatar in front of a virtual mirror with the ability to click “Edit Avatar”.

  2. Clicking the “Edit Avatar” button will take you out of the Foretell app and into the Meta Quest menu to configure your avatar.

  3. To save an exit from the Meta Quest avatar configuration menu, press the Oculus button on your controller. Upon closing the menu, your Meta Quest avatar configuration will load in to the Foretell app.

  4. Before entering a shared VR environment you will also need to type in a Display Name you would like to be identified by in the group. Note that the Display Name does not need to be your real name.

Joining a Public or Private Meeting from the Meetings Calendar

Foretell Reality provides the ability to host Public Meetings and Private Meetings.

  • Public Meetings can be accessed by all users signed in with the respective client code.

  • Private Meetings are those setup with specific invitees.

  • Private Meetings can also be setup to require a unique Meeting Room Code.

  • To join a meeting click on the tile for the meeting you would like to join and "Join" on the confirmation popup modal or enter the Meeting Room Code.
