# Turn on Hand Tracking

#### Follow the steps below to turn on Oculus Hand Tracking:

1. Press the menu button on your right Touch controller to pull up your universal menu.
2. Hover over the clock on the left side of the universal menu. When Quick Settings appears, select it to open the Quick Settings panel.
3. Select the Settings button in the top right corner.
4. In the left sidebar, select "Movement Tracking"
5. Select the toggle next to Hand and Body Tracking to turn it on or off
   1. Underneath this option is another toggle you can use to allow the headset to automatically switch between controllers and hands

**Foretell Tip**: To use hand tracking, make sure you are in a well lit area and set the controllers upside down, flat on the floor or table. Look at the palm on your hands and in a few seconds the headset will recognize you would like to switch from controller tracking to hand tracking.
